‘Debt Self Defense’ offered Wednesday

“Debt Self Defense,” a seminar designed to help people make the most of their personal finances, will be conducted from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the United Way building, 2518 Ridge Court.
Robert Baker, of Housing and Credit Counseling Inc., will discuss how to avoid predatory lending. Terri Pippert, of U.S. Bank, will present information about budgeting, loans and investments. Paul Hunt, of the Ballard Center, also will join the discussion.
People interested in attending the free event are asked to contact Hunt, the center’s director of human service programs, at 842-0729, extension 105, by 5 p.m. Tuesday.
