The Douglas County Coroner has confirmed that the body found Monday in the Kansas River in Wyandotte County is that of Shaun Shaw.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement Wednesday announcing the confirmation.

Shaw, 26, of De Soto, went missing April 19 when his canoe capsized near Eudora. His body was found Monday near 78th Street and Holliday Drive.
