Leaders of the Lawrence Technology Association recently agreed to launch a scholarship fund to support technology-based education.

The association collected $1,300 for the effort during the organization’s annual meeting and dinner last month.

The association works to provide networking opportunities, advocacy and support of economic development efforts such as education, financing and the promotion of Lawrence as a place to start or move a technology business.
