Chamber to celebrate 20 years of East Hills
Lawrence Chamber of Commerce will celebrate 20 years of the East Hills Business Park at 4 p.m. March 31 at Douglas County Development Inc.’s “spec” building, 3813 Greenway Drive.
Douglas County Development established the business park in 1988, and today it is home to seven businesses and a total of nearly 2,700 employees, or about 7.3 percent of all private-sector jobs in Lawrence.
The park and its businesses generate more than $2 million in tax revenues each year.
