LMH offers program for advance care planning

Lawrence Memorial Hospital will sponsor a free program, “Understanding Advance Directives,” from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday in the auditorium at the hospital, 325 Maine.

The program will be presented by members of the LMH Palliative Care Consult Team and Coalition to Honor End of Life Choices. Main issues to be covered include an emphasis on the necessity of advance care planning, and a review of advance directives with attention given to the topics of durable power of attorney and living wills.

Participants also will be given the opportunity to complete advance care documents under the guidance of experts.

The program is free, but those interested are asked to advance register by calling ConnectCare at 749-5800. Space is limited.
