City releases report
A new report is out that gives citizens an opportunity to review accomplishments of city government during the past year.
The city on Thursday released its annual report, “Lawrence: A Livable City.” The report is available on the city’s Web site, www.lawrenceks.org.
Among the projects highlighted:
¢ The city added new parks like DeVictor Park and Sesquicentennial Point to the parks and recreation system.
¢ New maintenance techniques such as microsurfacing have helped improve the condition scores of several city streets.
¢ A multiyear effort to replace 100-year-old waterlines in downtown was successfully completed.
