Verizon activates site in Baldwin City

Verizon Wireless announced Wednesday that it had activated a series of new cell sites, including one in Baldwin City.

The new sites boost network coverage and capacity, allowing more customers to access services at the same time, from calls and text messages to video and games, the company said.

The new site in Baldwin City is designed to improve Verizon’s voice and data network in Baldwin City, along U.S. Highways 56 and 59, and along Douglas County Route 1029.

Verizon also activated sites in Nortonville, Valley Falls and Silver Lake, seeking to improve service in those communities and areas along U.S. Highways 59 and 24, and Routes 4 and 16.
