Advocates’ event to help caregivers
Kansas Advocates for Better Care, Lawrence, is offering “Building Blocks for Caregiving: Skills to Succeed at the Hardest Job You’ll Ever Have” from noon to 3 p.m. March 28 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1011 Vt.
Scheduled presentations:
¢ “Hands-On Skills for Caregivers” by Karla Jamison, a registered nurse from Neosho Community College.
¢ “Long-Term Care and Medicaid: Who Qualifies?” by Molly Wood, a Lawrence attorney.
¢ “Living in the Moment: Finding Joy in the Alzheimer’s Journey” by Jeanne Reeder.
¢ “Staying Connected: How to Have a Better Nursing Home Visit” by Evie Curtis.
Cost is $10, and reservations are required. Deadline is Friday.
