To the editor:

Your coverage of the building Kansas University students are creating and sending to Greensburg was right where it ought to be – on page one! How great to be reminded that KU students do more than play and support basketball. Let a KU athlete sink a basket or stub his toe and it’s celebrated with a full color, multicolumn photo. Now give the nonathletes the same celebrity!

Thanks to your print-it-again policy, I know what Gov. Sebelius, Paris Hilton and the KU basketball team members look like. Now I’d like to see some close-ups of the students and their prof who are doing something lasting and significant. Your reporter wrote of their Herculean effort. Show us their faces, both in print and online, please!
