The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Douglas County invites residents to join its annual fundraiser.

A team captain meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital’s Meeting Room A.

Relay for Life involves teams of 8 to 15 participants who take turns walking around the Free State High School track for 12 hours, beginning at 7 p.m. June 13, to raise money for cancer research. Teams may camp out while music, games and entertainment go on throughout the night. This year’s theme is One World, One Cure.
