Panel to focus on food
The Lawrence Sustainability Network is hosting a panel discussion and community potluck Saturday.
The potluck begins at 6 p.m. at the Ecumenical Christian Ministries, 1204 Oread. The panel discussion begins at 6:45 p.m. Panel members include Hillary Brown of Local Burger, Rita York of the Community Mercantile, and Mercedes Pucket, manager of the Farmers Market.
Discussion will include information about eating locally, retail avenues for growers and consumers, and joining community gardens.
The event is open to the public.
