Kansas Chautauqua seeking food vendors

Organizers of the Kansas Chautauqua are seeking concession vendors to work at the event, set for June 18-22 in Lawrence.

Under a theme of “Bright Dreams, Hard Times: America in the Thirties,” the event’s tent will be located in South Park, on the northeast corner west of Massachusetts Street.

Vendors are being sought to sell snacks and drinks from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. June 18-22, before tent portrayals during Kansas Chautauqua.

Cost per vendor is $20 per night. Vendors interested in participating can download an application at www.visitlawrence.com/chautauqua.

For more information, e-mail visinfo@visitlawrence.com or call 856-5282. The application deadline is March 19.

Kansas Chautauqua participants experience old-fashioned tent programs, historic tours and family-friendly activities. Each evening under the big Chautauqua tent will be a portrayal of one of five historical figures: Will Rogers, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Huey Long, Aimee Semple McPherson and Zora Neale Hurston.
