Kids can join train ride for Easter egg hunts

? The Midland Railway Historical Society’s Easter Egg Hunt Train Rides will be March 22 in Baldwin City.

The 11-mile round trip train ride will leave the Baldwin depot, pass through southern Douglas and northern Franklin counties, and stop at the abandoned townsite of Norwood. Passengers will disembark at Norwood for the Easter egg hunts in the park adjacent to the railroad tracks. There will be prizes and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny.

Boarding times will be at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe Depot, 1515 W. High St. Seating is limited and boarding will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tickets, which cost $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 1 through 12, will be available at the depot prior to each departure.
