Dream Factory seeks boost with promotion

Dream Factory, an organization that assists children who have life-altering illnesses, needs assistance with fundraising and promotion. The organization conducts meetings at 7 p.m. the third Thursday of each month at Cornerstone Southern Baptist Church, 802 W. 22nd Terrace. Interested people can contact Tina or Ken at 840-0044.

Volunteer needs

¢ Sand Castles Inc., an organization that helps individuals and families through challenging times and life changes, is in need of volunteers to assist individuals with companionship and household tasks. For more information, contact Janis or Lisa at 832-2345 or go to www.sandcastlesonline.com.

¢ The Kaw Valley Soccer Association needs volunteers for a tournament on March 28-30. Volunteers would be responsible for making sure that the right teams have arrived on time and that referees have reported, and keep the volunteer coordinator informed. ¢ Meals on Wheels has added another route and needs volunteer drivers. Contact Kim Culliss at 830-8844 or 4mealsonwheels@sbcglobal.net.

¢ Thirty volunteers are needed to be judges at History Day from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Lawrence High School, 1901 La. ¢ Health Care Access is in need of volunteers to help with the Lawrence TherapyWorks 1/2 Marathon and 5K event April 20. More than 300 volunteers are needed to help with registration, monitoring the course and water stations, setup, cleanup, food item baking and distribution, and parking coordination.
