KU drops fourth straight, falling 51-42 at ISU

AMES, Iowa – The Kansas University women’s basketball team Saturday secured a winless record of 0-8 on the road in Big 12 play this season, falling 51-42 at Iowa State. It was KU’s fourth straight loss – three of those away from Allen Fieldhouse – knocking KU to 4-11 in league action.

Senior Taylor McIntosh led KU in scoring with 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting, and also ripped down 16 rebounds. Freshman Krysten Boogaard also had seven boards, as KU won that battle, 41-29. But an 0-for-8 showing from three-point range hurt Bonnie Henrickson’s club, as did 17 turnovers.

Iowa State’s Alison Lacey led all scorers with 19 points.

The Jayhawks regular season finale will be Wednesday night in Allen Fieldhouse against Kansas State. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
