Free advertising

To the editor:

How much more free advertising is the Journal-World going to provide for Kathleen Sebelius’ son John’s raunchy, prison-theme board game “Don’t Drop the Soap”?

On Feb. 28, it was mentioned at the top of the front page in which Gov. Sebelius criticizes Republican state Sen. Tim Huelskamp for his criticism of the game, and the fact it is being sold out of the governor’s mansion. This article also refers readers to John Sebelius’ Web site, as well as a local store which carries the game.

On Feb. 4, this game, complete with a large photo of John Sebelius, got virtually full-page coverage in an article by Sarah Henning on page one of “Pulse,” the section targeting younger readers. There, too, readers were told how and where to get “Don’t Drop the Soap.” What’s next? A feature on “the funky men’s dress clothing” he designs, which, Henning says, is “edgy as the game”?

How about serving readers better by informing them of costs Kansas incurs from illegal aliens that Gov. Sebelius aids and abets, and what can be done about it?
