One person was transported to Stormont-Vail Health Care in Topeka Friday night following a car accident on U.S. Highway 56.
The accident occurred at 9:12 p.m. in the 900 block of North 300 Road, southwest of Lawrence. The person suffered critical injuries. Douglas County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the accident.
No further details were available Friday night.
