Fresh off raising $75,000 at its annual fundraiser, Van Go Mobile Arts will accept the 2008 Kansas Governor's Arts Award today at a ceremony in Topeka.
More than 600 people attended the "What Floats Your Boat" fundraiser on June 21, raising 30 percent more money than last year's event. The event showcased Van Go Mobile Arts' Jobs in the Arts Make Sense (JAMS) program, which the Governor's Award recognizes as a top arts organization in the state.
