Nonprofit leaders will have the opportunity to hear about the latest research into the state of philanthropy in the United States, direct from the authors of the nation’s most comprehensive report on giving.

The Greater Kansas City Community Foundation and Jeffrey Byrne & Associates Inc. will present Giving USA 2008, a free event July 10 for senior nonprofit professionals and board members. The Giving USA 2008 report, researched and written by faculty and staff at the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University, covers charitable giving in the U.S. during 2007.

Presenting the report’s findings will be Patrick M. Rooney, the center’s director of research. Representatives from the community foundation will discuss Kansas City-area nonprofit revenue trends for 2007.

The presentation is set for 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. July 10 at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, 4801 Rockhill Road, in Kansas City, Mo.
