Petefish, Immel, Heeb and Hird LLP announces that Thomas H. Johnson has joined the firm as a partner.

Johnson, a Lawrence native, has worked in the corporate legal departments of Payless ShoeSource and Edison Brothers Stores, Inc., a family controlled holding company in St. Louis. He also worked in the international department of CNA Insurance Companies in Chicago, where he was country manager and CEO of CNA’s insurance operations in Argentina from 1996 to 2003.

Johnson returned to Lawrence in 2004, where he has been in private practice. He received his law degree at Kansas University, where he attended as an undergraduate; he received a masters degree from The New School for Social Research, in New York.

Johnson is a member of the Douglas County and Kansas Bar Associations, and is a Kansas Supreme Court Approved Mediator. He practices in the areas of business transactions, real estate, alternative dispute resolution (mediation and arbitration), construction and employment law.
