Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Special Events Division and Downtown Lawrence Inc. have canceled the movie, “Notorious,” scheduled for tonight due to the potential for inclement weather.

Downtown Movies: Film Noir Outdoor Film Festival’s next feature will be the 1946 feature “The Postman Always Rings Twice” on July 3 in the grassy area at New Hampshire and Ninth streets near the parking garage. The event starts at 8 p.m. with live music, followed by prize drawings at 9 p.m. The movie will start at 9:15 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public.
