To the editor:

I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to the city and people of Lawrence. I have been given the pleasure of exhibiting some of my sculpture in Lawrence for the 2008 Downtown Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit, and have had a great time in doing so.

The reception and those hosting it were just wonderful. My wife Janet, newborn daughter Sophie and I were in Lawrence June 7 and were able to attend the reception. Not only was the sculpture tour informative, but the people we met were exceptionally friendly and courteous. Special thanks should go to Mike Tubbs (city liaison) for his efforts and also to the caterers for the excellent fare.

I have to say to anyone, that if you can’t live in Lawrence you should at least visit there.
