Van Go fundraiser set for June 21
Van Go Mobile Arts, a local nonprofit group serving at-risk children, will have its fifth annual fundraiser June 21 at Clinton Lake Marina.
The What Floats Your Boat event raises money for the Jobs in the Arts Make Sense program. It features Kansas City barbecue, a live auction and dancing to music by SellOut, a local band. Some of the items up for auction include a Kansas University athletics package, vacation stays in Taos, N.M., and Branson, Mo., wine-tastings and outdoor furnishings created by Van Go youth.
