No injuries in fire at mobile home
No injuries were reported after a fire severely damaged a mobile home Tuesday night in eastern Lawrence.
The occupants were not at home when Lawrence-Douglas County firefighters responded to the blaze at 10:07 p.m. at 2200 Harper St., Unit C-7.
The fire may have started in the kitchen at the northern end of the home, witnesses said.
The fire was declared to be under control at 10:20 p.m., and firefighters were looking for hot spots and continuing to search for the fire’s cause at 10:35 p.m.
Fire Chief Mark Bradford said he expects that the fire caused significant damage to the home.
