A good loaf

To the editor:

I am reading the article on maximizing your food dollar and looking at the picture of the tasty loaf of bread at the bottom of page 1C (Journal-World, May 26). I am always starved for some real good bread. It says not to let it go to waste. Bread lets itself go to waste. Mom’s bread never did go to waste. The big problem was to keep the kids from eating it up before she could bake more.

Today, you buy bread hoping to get some good bread by the price you pay. When you try eating it, that $3 loaf isn’t what you expected and you have to keep it until it is old enough to toss. You are still hungry for bread.
