Sen. Barack Obama run for the White House
U.S. Rep. Dennis Moore, D-Lenexa, has announced his endorsement of U.S. Sen. Barack Obama, the Democratic Party's presumptive presidential nominee.
"Senator Barack Obama has proven that he has the ability to bring people together, inspire hope for the future and provide the kind of leadership we expect from our President," said Moore, whose 3rd congressional district includes east Lawrence.
Meanwhile, U.S. Rep. Nancy Boyda, D-Topeka, has declined to make an official endorsement.
Her office said she will support the Democratic nominee but wants to focus on her job in Washington and not get involved in the presidential race.
Boyda's 2nd congressional district includes west Lawrence.
The Kansas Republican Party issued a news release slamming Obama.
"Now that Barack Obama has secured the Democrat Party's presidential nomination, it has become clear that many Democrats are suffering buyer's remorse," said state GOP Chairman Kris Kobach.
"The concerns by these Democrats regarding Obama's naÃivete, fundamental lack of judgment, and failure to lead on issues that matter most to Americans will not fade," he said.
But Moore said Obama "represents the common-sense values of the midwest."

I guess we know who is comfortable in the knowledge that the GOP can't put up a viable candidate against them and who isn't.

Republicans should be embarrassed at the fact that Kris Kobach holds such a position within their party. Maybe he should write out his words and read them to himself in his head before he makes statements to the media.

It's interesting to see that someone with ties to white-supremacist groups is questioning the judgment of Obama. Is someone hiding a hood in his basement?

It's an elected position…it wasn't forced upon anyone.
This is pretty funny though…what a shocker…and jeez, I wonder WHO Boyda could endorse…hmmmm…

and … in other news, experts were shocked this morning when the sun rose in the east, and light was emitted. They will continue to monitor the situation.

wow, *get down*!

Kris is right, and the posters above are afraid to address that. exit polls, and Hilay's win in SDAK, majority of exit poll democrats in the primary in KY: believe Barry H. O'bama is less than truthful; believe he shares some of Rev. Wright's beliefs.
buyers' remorse, yeah. and in state by state polls, Hillary would have been doing better in the electoral college if election were held today, than O'bama.
O'bama is far left liberal. buyers' remorse, indeed.
he is beholden to his own special interest groups: labor; abortion; moveon.org; and dailykos.
americans will see this in the next few weeks.

Wow, Kris Kobach, that was completely unnecessary. He could have used the platform to bring up the Republican Party, but no, let's instead attack the Democrats. That's sure a positive message that will echo well.
Go Obama!

No cries of “censorship!” was heard from the Daily Kos, The Huffington Post, nor the NY Times although one can imagine if the “exhibit” featured Dick Cheney and George W. Bush they would have defended the show on first amendment political free speech grounds. Wonder what the ACLU will do?

I wonder if Osama Bin Laden will endorse Obama too since he endorsed John Kerry? He probably learned his lesson last go around.

If you look at Kobach's political beliefs and compare them to textbook definitions of “fascism”, you will have no choice but to classify him as a fascist…
on the other hand… if my comment was removed for referring to Kobach as “knuckle-headed”… well… I don't know what to say…
I can't find a textbook definition of “knuckleheaded”…

I see your comment is very perceptive Sigmund!
and i note that *not one* of the lunatic left posters have actually addressed what Kris Kobach actually said. not one oof them has addressed that the emperor obama has no clothes, as noted in exit polls.
those reading this should not that coming from the leftist fringe is only mud and smears here (i.e. Agnostick). they do not address the actual content of the article, or Kris' comments. that is …
*because they can't*!
last night, Obama swatted his wife on the butt on live TV! that alone portrays his values. the lunatic fringe is so desperate for winning, they discard any form of values or standards, they just want someone who will win. winning at any cost. winning no matter what they have to accept. and, some of them actually agree with Rev. Wright about the crazy conspiracies and that all whites are still prejudiced. many of them agree with obama's terrorist bomber buddy about this country. many of them aren't proud of america, like Michelle obama. many of them believe racism is a convenient slur just to throw around (seen often on this board by Agnostick et al) like obama's catholic priest buddy and member of his spiritual advisors.
and, note, the stereotyped slam against kansas conservatives. it falls right in line with obama's belief that most of us here cling to our religion and guns *because we are bitter*! at least four of the far left fringies fit that elitist model.
thanks boys and girls, you do such a good job of showing why people shouldn't vote for barry h. obama, and by avoiding that vote you keep from empowing nutbags like those above.

a fascist would never swat his wife on the butt… that's for certain…
as for whether it has anything to do with values…
not at all…
but it has a lot to do with being really uptight and prudish…

“fascist” … thanks, you are one of the far left fringies.
I would never swat my wife on the butt in public. why is that?
…
think
…
oh, could it be because *I respect her*?!?
or,
could it be:
I have values that preclude that kind of low rent behavior?!?
yes, this single act portrays lack of character and poor values.
