On Wednesday, the League of Women Voters of Kansas is hosting a speech by a Westar Energy executive regarding electric power generation and its effects on water consumption.

James Ludwig, executive vice president of public affairs and consumer services for Westar, will speak at 7 p.m. at the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt. The event is the second in series surrounding a study called “The Use of Water in the Production of Energy,” produced by the League of Women Voters of Kansas.
