Ken McGovern, Douglas County sheriff, announced Tuesday that he is seeking re-election in the upcoming election.

The county's top law enforcement officer, a Republican, was first elected in 2004. He is seeking a second four-year term.

Oh please some of us are smart enough to know to look at the years and re-elects. Not everyone just votes a party Some of us are smarter than that. Give us credit for something. Without the KU students what would Lawrence be? Please find something else to worry about.

He might get beat. Not that he's a bad guy, but just because he's a republican. An you know ALOT of KU students will vote not even knowing who is sheriff.
