Leaders at Lawrence Memorial Hospital are celebrating a year’s accomplishments, and working to add even more in the months to come.

Hospital officials joined with city leaders and members of the public for the hospital’s annual Report to the Community,” a chance to reflect on the past 12 months and to look even farther beyond.

Among accomplishments noted Monday evening: completion of a new emergency department, and expansion of the Family Birthing Center. Among the forward-looking items gaining attention: plans for adding a medical office building in Eudora; and completion, at the main hospital, of new surgical suites.
