Survival issue

To the editor:

Today in America we face a grave constitutional crisis, the outcome of which will determine the form of government America has for the foreseeable future. Impeachment of high-ranking officials, in the case of “high crimes and misdemeanors” is a constitutional mandate, not an option. Opinions of high-ranking congressional members do not trump the Constitution!

The proper procedure for impeachment must be followed to its completion. Thoroughly documented Articles of Impeachment have been introduced to Congress and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary. These hearings MUST be treated with due respect – thorough, valid, legal and immediate.

Every member of the House, and of the press, should be at all of the committee hearings if we hope to maintain a constitutional republic. That really is the question we’re facing. Nothing about this is political or partisan; it’s a matter of whether the Constitution will live or die under the current “representatives” of America.
