Kan. in biotech ‘top 10’
Business Facilities, a national site-selection magazine, has placed Kansas among the publication’s top 10 states for biotechnology.
The magazine noted Kansas’ “special financing programs to support commercial bioscience facilities” and rated the state:
¢ No. 4 for state bioscience investments.
¢ No. 5 for bioscience research funding.
¢ No. 10 for education climate.
¢ No. 13 for most educated workforce.
The Kansas City metro area also ranked No. 10 among metro areas for the highest concentration of employment in research, testing and medical laboratories.
