Johnson County bridge repairs begin
Motor, pedestrian and bicycle traffic will be disrupted in Johnson County starting Monday, as repair work begins on the 79th Street bridge over Interstate 435.
The bridge will close to all traffic at 9 a.m. Monday.
The repairs include replacing the eastern end of the bridge’s abutment, deck and approach pavement. The construction is expected to last into October.
