Vehicle crash knocks out power
A noninjury motor vehicle accident Monday afternoon disrupted power in north-central Lawrence. The accident, which occurred at the intersection of North Iowa Street and Kresge Road, caused a “wide power outage,” according to a Lawrence police dispatcher.
Westar Energy could not confirm how many people were affected or when power was restored.
Power was reportedly cut to the Lawrence Holidome, 200 McDonald Drive, disrupting a club meeting, but calls to the Holidome on Monday night were not answered.
