Landmark National hires Central National leader

Brad Chindamo, Lawrence, starts next week as president of Landmark National Bank’s eastern region, covering Lawrence and four communities in Miami County.

Chindamo, who resigned this week as president of Central National Bank in Lawrence, said that he would work to help boost Landmark’s presence in town. Landmark plans to open a second Lawrence branch, this one at the southwest corner of Sixth Street and Folks Road, later this year.

“It’s a great opportunity for me and a great group of people,” Chindamo said. “After 16 really wonderful years at Central National, I just thought it was time for a little different challenge.”

Chindamo has led Junction City-based Central National’s efforts in Lawrence since the bank came to town in 1995. Now Central National has six branches in Lawrence, and no shortage of potential successors.

“We’re blessed with a wealth of candidates from within,” said Don Edman, Central National’s branch coordinator for its northeast Kansas region. “I anticipate a fairly quick filling of the position.”
