Gambling commission to triple regulating staff

? The Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission eventually will triple its staff to regulate four resort casinos and two race tracks with slot machines expected in the future.

It will have 130 staffers by the time all the gambling venues are operating – later this year for the tracks and about two years later for the casinos.

That compares with a current staff of about 40, Executive Director Stephen Martino told the Senate Federal and State Affairs Committee on Tuesday.
