Police investigate liquor store robberies
Lawrence police on Monday were investigating armed robberies at two Lawrence liquor stores Monday night.
The first robbery happened shortly before 8 p.m. at Hird Liquor at Sixth Street and Kasold Drive, according to police dispatchers. The second robbery occurred less than an hour later at Glass House Liquor, near 23rd Street and Wakarusa Drive, according to police dispatchers.
