Accident victim still in serious condition
One of two people injured in a two-car accident Sunday was in serious condition Tuesday at Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan., a hospital spokesman said.
Ali Taghavi-Aghtai, 28, Lawrence, was injured when his 1986 Alfa Romeo Spider collided with a 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo at the intersection of Anderson Road and 23rd Street on Lawrence’s east side.
The driver of the Monte Carlo, Ann Duran, 65, also was taken to KU Hospital, according to the Lawrence police report. Her condition was not available. Duran was traveling north on Anderson Road when she drove into the intersection, police said.
