Sand Castles Inc., an organization that assists children who experience life-altering illnesses, needs assistance with fundraising and promotion. Meetings are at 7 p.m. every third Thursday at Cornerstone Southern Baptist Church.

Immediate volunteer needs
¢ Lawrence High School needs 30 volunteers to act as judges at History Day from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. March 8 at LHS. Judges must possess an understanding of academic research, an enjoyment of young people and a positive, encouraging attitude.

¢ Girl Scouts need volunteers to help at the Girl Scout Cookie delivery site anytime between 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. March 4. Volunteers can help sort and count cases of cookies and help leaders and parents load the cases into vehicles.

¢ Centro Hispano seeks childcare assistance for its women’s group, which meets every other Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Snacks and activities are provided.
