A current Kansas University administrator is leaving Mount Oread to take a high-level position at Baker University.

Marvin L. Hunt, assistant dean of Continuing Education at KU, will become vice president and dean of the School of Professional and Graduate Studies at Baker University, the school announced Friday.

"President Pat Long and I are so pleased that Dr. Hunt will be joining Baker University," Baker Provost Randy Pembrook said in a statement. "His entrepreneurial experience, academic background and communication skills will enable him to provide strong leadership in the future."

The School of Professional and Graduate Studies has 3,000 students and is the largest at Baker. Hunt has undergraduate and master's degrees from KU and earned a doctorate in education studies from the University of Nebraska.
