City commissioners as part of their Tuesday evening meeting conducted a special recognition ceremony for Brad Shuck, a Lawrence resident who rescued an individual from a burning home Feb. 11.
Commissioners praised Shuck for his brave and quick action that they said likely prevented injury or death. They presented him with a special trophy.
