City commission defers shopping center discussion
City commissioners have deferred from tonight’s meeting a discussion about a proposed shopping center for Sixth Street and Wakarusa Drive.
Commissioners had been scheduled to discuss a preliminary development plan for Bauer Farms – a mix of retail, offices and residential units at the northeast corner of Sixth Street and Wakarusa Drive – at their 6:35 p.m. meeting tonight. But commissioners now say they will defer the discussion until a later meeting.
