My compliments to Tom Keegan on a fine piece, “Women worthy of a visit.” It was great to read positive comments about Coach Bonnie Henrickson and the Jayhawk women. The team is fun to watch, and the seats for viewing are terrific.

As president of the Hardwood Club, the women’s basketball booster club, I am delighted to echo Mr. Keegan’s suggestion to attend Sunday’s game vs. Nebraska, not just because there will be fine basketball played, but also because attendance means money for a very worthy cause (the Breast Cancer Center at Lawrence Memorial Hospital). Tickets are not expensive ($6), the players interact with the fans after the game for autographs, and the coaches are of the highest caliber. So, come on out and cheer on the women’s basketball team at 2 p.m. this Sunday! Rock Chalk Jayhawk!
