Health savings expert to address luncheon

Beverly Gossage, director of HSA Benefits Consulting, is scheduled as featured speaker for a luncheon intended to help owners of small businesses grapple with rising health care costs.

The meeting, organized by the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce, is set for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 19 at Maceli’s, 1031 N.H.

Gossage describes herself as a consumer-driven health care consultant, and her presentations include side-by-side comparisons of benefits between traditional plans and HSA plans, including a contrast of carrier options.

She is considered a national expert on health savings accounts, or HSAs, and helps devise plans and provide HSA training for individuals, the self-employed and businesses.

She has addressed regional and national meetings, and last year was among 10 professionals to participate in a roundtable discussion regarding HSAs with President Bush at the White House.

Cost is $15 and reservations can be made by visiting www.lawrencechamber.com or calling 865-4411. Deadline for reservations is Friday.

Luncheon sponsors are Peoples Bank and U.S. Bank.
