Republicans will participate in caucuses across the state today.
Here are a few details to remember for members of the GOP who want to participate in Douglas County's balloting:
¢ You must be a registered Republican.
¢ Doors will open at 9:30 a.m., and eligible participants must be in line by 10 a.m. at South Junior High School, 2734 La. Organizers suggest voters bring a photo ID.
¢ Once inside, campaign representatives will give a short speech, and then voters will vote by secret ballot, according to Craig Campbell, Douglas County Republican chairman, who said he expects 400 to 500 people at the caucus.
¢ Candidates can win three delegates for garnering the most votes per congressional district. If a candidate wins the overall statewide vote, plus two congressional districts, he also will earn 24 at-large delegates.
