Change of Heart, a newsletter published through the Coalition of Homeless Concerns, is in need of a person with journalism experience to offer guidance and support to those who put the paper together.

Immediate volunteer needs
¢ A volunteer is needed to assist a blind woman with her guide dog. The dog needs to be taken outside for a walk every morning and evening. For more information, contact Crystal Lucas at 843-8157.
¢ The Centro Hispano seeks child care assistance for its women’s group, which meets every other Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Snacks and activities are provided. Volunteers may contact Lydia Leon, 843-2039 or lydia@centrohispanolawrence.org.
¢ Youth volunteers are sought to become involved in Youth Volunteer Council, a group of middle and high school students who work on community service projects in the Lawrence area. Contact Ben Johnson or Rachael Perry at 865-5030.
¢ Volunteers are needed to provide companionship and support to senior citizens through the Douglas County Senior Services’ Friendly Visitor Program. Volunteers commit to spend one hour a week as a Friendly Visitor volunteer.
