City selling downtown parking passes

December 30, 2008

The city once again is selling annual passes that will allow motorists to park in several downtown parking lots at reduced rates.

The parking passes allow motorists to park in long-term parking lots and at 10-hour parking meters. An annual pass is sold for $192, while quarterly passes are available for $50.

A value pass that allows motorists to park on the top level of the New Hampshire Street parking garage, the lower level of the Riverfront parking garage and in Lot 10 in the 1000 block of Vermont Street is available for $160 a year.

All 2008 passes — regardless of when they were purchased — expire Thursday.

New passes can be purchased from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each weekday at the second floor of City Hall, Sixth and Massachusetts streets, or at the Municipal Court Building, 1006 N.H.
