Gasoline station clerk reports robbery
A gasoline station clerk was ordered to the floor at knifepoint and robbed Sunday evening, Lawrence police said.
The incident occurred about 9 p.m. at Presto Convenience Store, 602 W. Ninth St., said Sgt. Bill Cory, police spokesman.
“A suspect entered the store brandishing a large knife,” he said.
Cash and other items were stolen from the store.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6-foot-2, with a skinny build. He was wearing a black stocking cap, dark scarf around his face and a dark overcoat.
