One lane of northbound Iowa Street just south of Ninth Street is blocked as city employees investigate a water line that broke there about 12:30 Monday.

This is the third break in the city in the past two days, according to Jeanette Klamm of the city of Lawrence.

“We’ve had quite a few recently,” she added.

City crews were still investigating the break and said repairs should be completed in the next few hours.
