Chamber of Commerce announces new board members, directors
Bonnie Lowe will serve as chairwoman of the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce for the coming year.
Lowe, a former Lawrence mayor and former community president for Landmark National Bank in Lawrence, takes over Jan. 1 from Jim Otten, a Lawrence dentist who remains on the chamber’s board of directors as past chairman.
Other officers for 2009 will be:
• Chairman-elect: Matt Hoy, of Stevens & Brand LLP.
• Treasurer: Cindy Yulich, of Emprise Bank.
• Vice chairwoman for member services: Allison Vance Moore, of Grubb & Ellis I The Winbury Group.
• Co-vice chairs for communications: Larissa Long, of Black Hills Energy; and Terry Campbell, of Barber Emerson LC.
• Vice chairman for economic development: Mike McGrew, of McGrew Real Estate Inc.
• Vice chairman for operations: Doug Gaumer, of Intrust Bank.
• Co-vice chairs for government/community affairs: Jane Bateman, of The Interiors Store; and David Johnson, of Bert Nash Community Mental Health Center.
• Vice chairwoman for strategic planning and Leadership Lawrence: Kathy Pryor, of Kansas University’s Department of Theatre & Film.
Others serving as directors in 2009: Gary Bennett, of Laird Noller Automotive; Steve Brown, of Berry Plastics; Brad Burnside, of U.S. Bank; Bobbie Flory, of the Lawrence Home Builders Association; Shannon Frost, of Hallmark Cards Inc.; Bill Fuerst, of KU’s School of Business; Rodger Henry, of Lawrence Medical Plaza; and David Livingood, of Treanor Architects.
