Credit due
To the editor:
Your Dec. 3 article about Douglas County Community Foundation grants for local environmental projects omitted an important fact. The grants were made from the Elizabeth Schultz Environmental Fund, one of more than 60 charitable funds managed by the community foundation. Ms. Schultz is a longtime Lawrence resident who has made a major commitment to supporting local efforts to preserve and understand nature. We want to give credit where credit is due.
